North Carolina 2007 - Part 3

One evening we all went over to the Captain Bobby's  house for dinner.  He showed us the boat he was building.
He filled our tanks.  His wife and first mate, Renate also fed the raccoons in the neighborhood.
Another evening, Captain Bobby and Renate came to our house for dinner.  Dessert was the best part.
Especially when it was bananas foster.  Butter, brown sugar and bananas with rum poured on top and lit up.  Then it is put over ice cream.  Yum!
On our last dive day the seas picked up and our dive was cancelled.  Instead we drove 2 hours south to Wilmington and saw the the battleship USS North Carolina.
Each link from the anchor chain weighs 80 pounds.

After a fun week of diving and cooking house dinners, we departed for the 12 hour ride home.
